Comprised of dedicated people and decades of manufacturing experience, we have continued to experience strong growth and currently have outstanding career opportunities for equally dedicated people.\n\nJob Summary: Support and facilitate all technical requirements daily to fulfill the needs of SMC’s customers and employees.\n\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nDirect daily technical production activities in support of operations and in alignment with the Divisional Technical Manager and the Production Managers and Supervisors\nCoordinate molding and automation technical support with scheduling, tool room, and maintenance to prioritize and address daily production issues and needs\nAssess all Production technical staff on daily performance and attendance issues\nDirect supervision of Mold Technicians and Material Handlers\nAssess each Technician to identify training needs and coordinate providing or setting up training where necessary\nMonitor efficiency metrics – Cycle Time and Scrap Rates to ensure BOM accuracy\nProvide cost savings ideas to the responsible team and participate where required in cost savings activities\nHiring of Technical resources within the technical group\nProvide support for technical issues and coverage for vacations and absences\nMaintain a clean and organized production floor that is always tour ready\nBuild a team of trust and respect\nComplete mold setups, start production, and assist in troubleshooting issues\nPerforms other duties as assigned\n\nEssential Qualifications:\n\nA high school diploma/GED\nTen or more years’ experience in Injection molding/manufacturing\nPossess a strong knowledge in injection molding processing and troubleshooting\nAbility to direct multiple employees to accomplish the daily goals of the production groups\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to conduct technical training\nExcellent time management and organizational skills\nAbility to lead in stressful situations\n\nDesirable Qualifications:\n\nSupervisory or leadership experience\n\nADA Requirements:\n\nStand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach or otherwise move frequently\nOccasional repetitive motion and grasping\nOccasional climbing to reach areas on machines or racks\nLift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently\nTypically sits, grasps items or performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer\nExposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection\n\nWhat SMC has to offer?\nClean, Climate-Controlled Environment\nPaid holiday and PTO\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) retirement savings\nLife and disability insurance\nPromotional opportunities\nTraining and career growth programs\nEmployee Assistance Program\n\nAt SMC Ltd. we recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
