Removes snow and ice from steps and walkways.Minimum/Preferred RequirementsHas a valid Nevada Driver's License.Ability to work a variable work schedule.Negative drug screen and background check are required.High School Diploma or GED.One year of education and/or experience in housekeeping and/or custodial work that is directly related to the job.Standard methods, materials and equipment, soaps, detergents, disinfectants, and cleaning compounds employed in janitorial work.Cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning materials.Carry out written and verbal instructions.Work independently and as part of a crew.Perform repetitive tasks without continuous supervision.Communicate effectively with County staff and members of the public.Work effectively under pressure of deadlines.Lift up to 50 pounds.Understand and follow instructions.Correctly and safely use janitorial materials, products and equipment.Maintains accurate records of daily work performed, materials used, and periodic inventory of supplies.Job Responsibilities/DutiesBlowing, sweeping, dusting, and picking up trash.Removes snow and ice from steps and walkways.Dusts and cleans desks and other furniture.Sweeps floor surfaces.Mops floor surfaces.Vacuums floor surfaces.Strips floor surfaces.Waxes floor surfaces.Buffs floor surfaces.Cleans and replenishes restroom areas.Cleans windows, walls, woodwork, and blinds.Empties trash receptacles.Deposits recyclable material(s) in proper receptacles.Work Environment/Physical DemandsLift up to 50 pounds.EeoWhite Pine County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
