Design Team Lead - Contract Furniture

As they continue to grow they need a Design Lead to uphold their reputation for excellence while managing a team of other designers.The purpose of this position is to manage the execution and coordination of design projects in collaboration with the Design team, and be responsible for guiding the designers in the coordination of workflow, assistance and review of design projects, and training. This role-holder will be also responsible for overseeing projects from conception through execution and installation and will act as the design teams’ main point of contact through the design process. In this role, advanced software experience is required. This position will hold responsibilities in the areas of facility planning, drafting/CAD, furniture and finish selection, color and materials application, as well as graphic and verbal presentations. Skills & Qualifications • Interior Design Degree or relevant Bachelor’s degree • At least 7 years of experience with interior design and in the commercial furniture industry • At least 5 years of relevant managerial experience • Proficient in AutoCAD, CAP and CET • Proven organizational, time management, and follow-through skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • • Knowledge of the Building Codes, especially the Accessibility Code. •
