Feeder (Dairy Farm)

Qualifications: - Dairy Experience: Proven experience in dairy operations with a focus on feeding practices. - Feed/Nutrition Knowledge: Strong understanding of feed and nutrition principles. - TMR Experience: Experience in mixing and managing Total Mixed Rations (TMRs). - Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating tractors, pay loaders, and skid steer loaders. - Feed Bunker/Silage Pad Experience: Knowledge of feed bunker and silage pad operations. - Driver's License: Valid Wisconsin Driver's License and CDL (Commercial Driver's License) required. - Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience in a similar role within a dairy operation. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Job Description: Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a dairy operation in Wisconsin that is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Feeder to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dairy operations, with specific expertise in feed and nutrition, TMR (Total Mixed Ration) mixing, and equipment operation. Key Responsibilities: - Equipment Operation: Operate tractors, pay loaders, and skid steer loaders efficiently and safely. - Feed Delivery: Ensure timely and accurate feed delivery to the dairy herd. - Feed Management: Handle the storage and use of harvested crops, manage feed bunkers, and utilize silage pads effectively. - Feed Handling: Face, load, and transport feed to the Feed Center; assist with storing feed in bunkers and silage pads. - Maintenance: Ensure proper cleaning and recycling of bunker plastic. - Refusal Collection: Collect and manage feed refusal to maintain optimal feed efficiency. - TMR Mixing: Mix Total Mixed Rations (TMRs) to meet the herd's nutritional needs.
