The ideal candidate will also bring strong database design capabilities, technical documentation skills, and experience working within Agile delivery environments.\n\nLocation: Remote (Preference for Dayton, OH or Washington, DC Metro Area)\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain data pipelines, ETL workflows, and backend data processing solutions using Python and SQL\nImplement and support cloud-based data engineering solutions leveraging AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, and related AWS services\nDesign and maintain database schemas, tables, data models, and stored procedures\nApply database design best practices, including normalization, performance optimization, data integrity, and scalable architecture\nAnalyze business and technical requirements and translate them into secure, scalable, and maintainable data solutions\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including solution documentation, interface specifications, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies and delivery activities, including backlog management, sprint planning, status tracking, and issue resolution using Jira\nTroubleshoot and resolve data quality, integration, ETL, and performance issues across the solution environment\nTest ETL pipelines and data workflows to validate functionality, reliability, and data quality\nPerform peer code reviews for other Data Engineers and provide technical guidance as appropriate\nCollaborate with developers, architects, analysts, program leadership, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support successful delivery outcomes\nRequired Skills:\n\nExperience:\n\nProven advanced or expert-level experience developing solutions using Python and SQL\nHands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines and data workflows\nExperience with AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, and related cloud data integration technologies\nExperience with database design, schema development, data modeling, table design, and stored procedure scripting\nExperience troubleshooting data quality, integration, and performance issues\nExperience testing ETL pipelines and conducting code reviews\nConsultant/Senior Consultant or USDC/PDM/Specialist equivalent experience\n\nSkills:\n\nStrong understanding of database design and data architecture best practices\nStrong Python development and SQL scripting capabilities\nAbility to design scalable, maintainable, and secure data engineering solutions\nAbility to produce clear and structured technical documentation for development and operational use\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nDesired Skills:\n\nExperience:\n\nPrior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or U.S. Air Force programs\nExperience working in complex enterprise data environments with multiple upstream and downstream integrations\nExperience supporting mission-oriented technology programs\nExperience working within secure or controlled government environments\n\nCredentials / Clearance:\n\nAbility to meet applicable government security and access requirements\n\nCompensation:\n\nAt Graham Technologies, we believe in treating everyone with fairness and respect.
