We are also a publicly traded company on the NYSE with the ticker symbol KNF and part of the S&P MidCap 400 index.Role OverviewSupervises, plans, and coordinates activities of truck and heavy equipment mechanics and schedules of preventative maintenance.DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)Supervises plans, and coordinates activities of mechanics and schedule of preventative maintenance.Conducts training for new mechanics and provides continuing learning opportunities for all mechanics.Conducts annual performance reviews of all shop personel.Maintains inventory of repair parts and equipment and requisitions replacement stock.Takes calls/requests for repairs then prepares work order and assigns mechanic to project.Estimates costs of personnel, parts and supplies to be used during maintenance.Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance.Troubleshoot and problem solve maintenance issues over the phone to determine extent of repair work needed prior to preparing work order or dispatching mechanicCommunicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT, safety and environmental regulation compliance.Frequently working in an environment with: Reaching, handling, fingering, talking, hearing, loud noises, and need for near acuity.
