Job DescriptionGPAC is partnering with a innovative, growing K-12 independent school in Miami that seeking a Middle School Science Teacher committed to providing students with authetic, inquiry-based learning experiences to understand and apply advanced science concepts.This school is seeking candidates for these full-time, on-site positions who are:Mission-DrivenResourcefulPassionate**Candidates with prior teaching experience in private school settings are highly preferred.**Position SummaryTeachers provide a learning experience that is culturally relevant, challenging, and fun. Candidates with experience using hands-on learning opportunities (experiments, field study, inquiry-based learning, etc.) are strongly encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesTeach classes as assigned, providing effective and professional classroom instruction, assessment, and management.Design and implement curriculum and instruction consistent with the mission, values, and standards established with the academic program.Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and on enhancing instructional practices and strategies.Establish effective communications and relationships with students and parents.Exhibit a growth mindset about teaching practices and work toward professional goals and development.Develop and maintain professional, collaborative, and collegial relationships with faculty and staff, as well as with community partners to the benefit of students and classes.Participate in required non-classroom activities, including Back to School Night(s), parent/student conferences, retreats, faculty and meetings, field trips, and special activities and performance events.Essential skills and experienceBachelor's or master's degree in education, teaching, or a related field.
