Other duties may be assigned.\nStudies blueprints and other specifications to determine proper positioning of compressors and engines on skids.\nVerifies requirements such as dimensions and squareness.\nDetermines reference points and computes layout dimensions.\nPerforms leveling of the skids.\nLays out location of the sub-base.\nPours concrete on skid in area for compressor mounting.\nUses crane to mount compressor and aligns with sub-base.\nBuilds dikes to hold epoxy material, forming a base for the compressor footing.\nLevels compressor with a Brunson transit.\nUses heat to grow compressor coupling and installs on compressor.\nUses crane to mount engine to sub-base and installs coupling on engine.\nAligns engine with compressor using Optoline laser and connects using coupling.\nCleans, inspects and installs pressure vessels on the skid to prepare for piping.\nWorks to tolerances as specified in drawings.\nAdds dimensional details to blueprints or prepares dimensional drawings to be followed by other workers.\nAble to use inside/outside micrometers, calipers, and read/measure to the nearest thousandth.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
