In this role, you will support the repair and maintenance of industrial AC/DC electric motors and generators, using manual machine tools and balancing equipment. Your attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings will be key to your success.Key Responsibilities:Operate manual machining equipment including engine lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and related toolsUse overhead cranes, gantry cranes, forklifts, and associated rigging safelyPerform precise mechanical measurements using tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration measurement instrumentsWork according to safety standards and service center proceduresQualifications:3+ years of experience as a machinist in electric motor repair (preferred)Proficient in using micrometers and other precision measuring toolsSkilled in operating various sizes of manual lathesFamiliarity with electro-plating equipment a plusSolid math skills and mechanical aptitudeAbility to follow and retain training, safety, and operational proceduresWillingness to work overtime and weekends as neededPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periodsCapable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.Benefits:Paid time off401(k) with employer matchOn-the-job training and developmentMedical, dental, and vision insuranceAnd more!
