Part-Time Editorial Copywriter (Design + Technology)We’re partnering with a globally recognized technology platform to bring on a part-time Editorial Copywriter to support a design-focused content team.This role is centered on crafting thoughtful, human-centered stories that translate complex and often technical ideas into clear, engaging content for a global audience of designers and creative professionals.About the Role You’ll work closely with an established editorial team to develop and produce content across owned channels, including web and social. The work highlights product design, innovation, and collaboration at scale, with a focus on storytelling that informs, inspires, and connects.What You’ll DoDevelop compelling, human-centered stories and campaign-ready messaging for a global external audienceWrite, edit, and publish long-form content (profiles, explainers, Q&As, newsletters) in collaboration with internal stakeholders and subject matter expertsCraft high-performing short-form copy for social, including headlines, captions, hooks, and in-asset/on-screen text tailored to each platformAdapt long-form narratives into platform-native social and web content, optimizing for audience and contextPartner cross-functionally with design, product, and publishing teamsIdentify timely storytelling opportunities and shape them into clear editorial conceptsApply strong editorial judgment and social awareness, including sensitivity to global audiences and current eventsMaintain high editorial standards and consistency in voice, tone, and brand guidelinesWhat We’re Looking ForA strong portfolio demonstrating range across long-form editorial and short-form/social copyExperience supporting large, global brands or platforms at scaleAbility to translate complex or technical topics into clear, engaging narrativesStrong editorial instincts with an eye for structure, clarity, and storytellingExperience adapting voice and tone across platforms while maintaining consistencyComfortable collaborating cross-functionally and navigating feedback cyclesHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesExperience editing or coaching contributors or subject matter expertsBonusExperience writing about design, technology, or creative communitiesFamiliarity with analytics and performance-driven content optimizationInterest in or experience using AI tools to support content workflowsDetailsPart-time contract (~20 hours/week)Strong preference for candidates based in New York (or able to work East Coast hours)Long-term engagement with potential to scale to full-time hours (40/week)Remote, with ongoing collaboration across teamsInterview Process (Final Step) Finalists will complete a short writing exercise evaluating an existing editorial content package (blog + social), including critique and sample rewrites.
