Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab Full-time Company Description Healthcare Job Description Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab New Braunfels, TX Exp 1-2 yrs Deg Associates Relo Travel Occasional Job Description: Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. Fosters a culture of accountability essential to promoting a professional nursing environment and recognizes opportunities for process improvement which achieve positive patient outcomes. Responsible for all testing requiring nursing monitoring such as EKG, Echocardiograms, and administration of medications. Supervises subordinates to ensure patient safety standards are attained. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Position Qualifications Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university Minimum Experience: 1 year in critical care, ED or OR Preferred Experience: Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience Required Certifications/Licensure: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse Preferred Certifications/Licensure: NA Required Courses/Completions (e.g., CPR): 1 BLS –Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network. 1 ACLS Screening Questions Does the candidate have experience circulating Cath Lab procedures? Ideal Candidate Candidate will need to have experience in the Cath Lab circulating procedures. Only Pre and post experience will not be enough.
