{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a7d64581bdfcaee524dc8b3f","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a7d64581bdfcaee524dc8b3f","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a7d64581bdfcaee524dc8b3f","title":"Licensed Customs Broker","description":"*Key Responsibilities*\n\n* Serve as the company's Licensed Customs Broker of record for entries filed with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).\n* Review and approve customs entries, tariff classifications, and duty calculations prepared by the entry writing team.\n* Supervise, train, and mentor entry writers, and provide day to day direction and quality control for the team.\n* Act as the primary point of contact for escalated or complex classification, valuation, and compliance issues.\n* Monitor changes in customs regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule updates, trade agreements, and CBP rulings, and update internal procedures accordingly.\n* Conduct periodic audits of entries and internal recordkeeping to confirm accuracy and compliance with CBP requirements.\n* Liaise with CBP, other government agencies, and internal stakeholders on entry issues, audits, and compliance matters.\n* Maintain recordkeeping in accordance with CBP regulations.\n* Support development, review, and training on standard operating procedures related to customs brokerage.\n* Support hiring, performance reviews, and scheduling for the entry writing team.\n\n*Qualifications*\n\n* Active U.S. Customs Broker License required.\n* Minimum 5 years of experience and working knowledge in customs brokerage required.\n* Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity required.\n* Strong knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, CBP regulations, and free trade agreements.\n* Cargowise, Descartes, NetCHB experience preferred\n* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.\n* Proficient with Microsoft Office.\n* Able to work on site at one of the listed locations.\n\nThis role can be based in office at our New Hyde Park, NY, Chicago, Los Angeles, or San Francisco locations\n\nPay: From $20.00 per hour\n\nBenefits:\n* 401(k)\n* Dental insurance\n* Health insurance\n* Life insurance\n* Vision insurance\n\nApplication Question(s):\n* Do you have 5+ years of Customs Brokerage experience?\n* Do you have 2+ years of Supervisory experience?\n* Are you able to work in New Hyde Park NY, Chicago, San Francisco or LA, in office, 5 days a week?
