Superintendent - Healthcare/ Life Science (Indianapolis)

Traveling Superintendent – Healthcare & Life Sciences ConstructionTraveling Superintendent opportunity overseeing large-scale healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, and advanced technology construction projects across multiple markets. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and driving safe and successful project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.Projects may include hospitals, healthcare campuses, surgical centers, medical office buildings, laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, biotech campuses, cleanrooms, research & development facilities, and other technically complex healthcare and life sciences construction projects.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily field operations from preconstruction through project completionManage subcontractors, site logistics, manpower coordination, and overall jobsite activitiesMaintain project schedules and help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within quality standardsCoordinate with Project Managers, engineers, inspectors, architects, consultants, and ownership teams throughout constructionLead subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and daily field coordination effortsSupport construction activities within occupied healthcare facilities and technically complex operational environments while maintaining strict safety and quality standardsMonitor project progress and help resolve field issues to maintain productivity and schedule adherenceEnforce company safety standards and support overall jobsite safety initiativesReview drawings, specifications, infection control requirements, cleanroom standards, and project documents to ensure work is installed correctlyAssist with inspections, punch lists, turnover documentation, and project closeout activitiesMaintain accurate daily reports and field documentationQualifications5+ years of Superintendent experience with a general contractorExperience leading healthcare, hospital, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, or advanced technology construction projects preferredExperience supporting occupied renovations, phased construction, cleanroom environments, or technically complex MEP systems strongly preferredStrong understanding of field operations, scheduling, and subcontractor coordinationKnowledge of infection control protocols, cGMP environments, commissioning processes, and phased construction practices preferredAbility to lead teams and manage fast-paced construction projectsOSHA 30 certification preferredProficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction softwareCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salaryVehicle allowance or company vehicle + gas cardBonus opportunityFull benefits packagePTO and paid holidaysLong-term growth opportunities with a well-established construction team
