Silverseal remains dedicated to providing tailored and reliable security strategies across industries.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, for a Security Officer with Fireguard (F-01/S060) certifications. The primary responsibilities include safeguarding assigned premises, monitoring and maintaining fire safety systems, conducting regular patrols and inspections to identify potential hazards, and responding promptly to fire alarms and emergencies. The position will also ensure compliance with fire codes and regulations, coordinate evacuation procedures when necessary, and assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all occupants.QualificationsRequired certifications: Valid F-01 or S60 Fireguard License issued by FDNY.Required certification: Valid New York State Security License issued by NYS Department of State, Division of Licensing. Strong knowledge of fire code regulations and fire prevention techniques.Effective communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills to manage safety protocols and interact with diverse groups.Experience in security, crisis response, or first-responder roles is highly desirable.Ability to remain vigilant, act decisively during emergency situations, and maintain a professional demeanor under pressure.Physical fitness and ability to patrol or stand for extended periods as needed.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in safety or security are a plus.
