{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a7bd4ad52326dba4c8bcfc80","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a7bd4ad52326dba4c8bcfc80","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a7bd4ad52326dba4c8bcfc80","title":"Lab Associate I","description":"Position Summary\nConduct sampling and qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis on raw materials, solutions, and components following approved Standard Operating Procedures and test methods in an accurate and timely manner.\nJob Responsibilities\nPerform aseptic microbiological and chemical sampling in cleanroom and facility environments\nObtain samples from manufacturing environment, ensuring sample integrity and identity\nAnalyze organic or inorganic compounds to determine chemical or physical properties using chromatography, spectroscopy, or spectrophotometry techniques.\nEnter data into Laboratory Management system (LIMs)\nPrepare test solutions, compounds, standards or reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests.\nLearn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)\nFollow laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance with standards or to make improvements as needed.\nFollow manufacturing area safety procedures to ensure compliance with standards during sampling process\nMonitor operational procedures in technical environments to ensure conformance to standards.\nOperate lab equipment such as pipets, burets, balances, hot plates, etc.\nReview samples received, logs samples, and enter data into computer database (LIMS)\nResponsible for general housekeeping of laboratory and test suites\nSustain a clean and safe work environment utilizing 6S principles\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nTrained in aseptic sampling techniques\nComputer literate/knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel)\nAttention to detail and strong organizational skills\nMust have a basic understanding of laboratory instrumentation\nGood documentation skills and knowledge of GDPs (Good Documentation Practices)\nAble to manage multiple tasks/priorities in a timely manner\nFamiliarity with LIMS (or equivalent system) and TrackWise\nMust be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers\nMust be have basic knowledge of general chemistry techniques\nRequired Education and Experience\nAssociates degree in biological or chemical sciences or professional certification preferred.\n0-2 years of experience in the field or related area.\nOther Duties as Assigned\nThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
