One system....countless possibilities!!\nJOB SUMMARY\nReporting to the Global Engineering Manager the Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for transforming conceptual ideas into fully developed products. This role focuses on creating innovative designs that complement and expand the existing MayTec product portfolio. The Mechanical Design Engineer will work cross‑functionally to solve complex problems, design prototypes, generate detailed drawings, evaluate product performance, and support projects through their full lifecycle.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:\nDesign and engineer conveyor systems (belt, roller, chain) and linear systems using MayTec aluminium profiles and components.\nDevelop custom mechanical solutions for customer-specific applications in automation and material handling.\nCreate technical drawings, BOMs, and documentation in CAD systems (SolidWorks, MayCAD).\nSupport global engineering teams with technical expertise on conveyor technology and linear systems.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, sales, and customers to ensure solutions meet requirements and quality standards.\nPerform calculations, simulations, and testing for structural integrity, motion, and performance.\nContribute to continuous improvement of our modular system portfolio.\nPartners with Supply Chain Management to develop strategies and policies that promote excellence in supplier quality and strengthen upstream process capability.\nFoster collaborative leadership by partnering with Engineering, Quality Control, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and improve outcomes.\nHold teams accountable while maintaining professional respect and trust.\nDrive a sense of operational urgency to accelerate issue resolution and improvement efforts.\nIdentifies and manages quality instruments along with the calibration program for these items like gauges and metrology tools.\nAll other duties assigned.\nSPECIFICATIONS and QUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
