The position provides Security Visitor Control, program security administration to include personnel and information security functions as needed and is responsible to the Chief of Security, for entry and circulation control and other administrative duties to assure visitors are greeted professionally and receive assistance as necessary.\n\nHOW A SECURITY ASSISTANT III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:\n\nCheck identification of all visitors, and ensure all are sponsored and properly cleared via JPAS or a local database.\n\nDetermine visitor's need to enter the building, log visitors in, issue visitor badges, and notify hosts of visitor arrivals.\n\nEnsure visitors are not introducing any prohibited items (cell phones, pagers, jump drives, PDAs, etc)\n\nPerform and/or assist government employees with inspecting bags and hand-carried items.\n\nReceive packages from outside agencies (UPS, FedEx, etc) and distribute in accordance with facility standard operating procedures.\n\nCheck assigned personnel and ensure they have and are displaying authorized access badges.\n\nPerform emergency procedures for bomb threat, active shooter, force protection, Anti-Terrorism, fire evacuation, and other emergency situations in accordance with emergency procedure checklists.\n\nAccount for all logs, instructions, equipment, and badges at the beginning and end of each scheduled work day.\n\nAssist with personnel, information, program security and entry control functions.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:\n\nExperience:\n\nPrior experience in special program security work highly preferred, but willing to accept and train entry-level employee if otherwise qualified\n\nDESIRED/NOT REQUIRED\n\nPrior Military or Construction/Physical security related experience is highly desirable\n\nValid CAG certification is desirable (obtained thru CDSE Websites)\n\nEducation:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n\nClearance:\n\nSecret to start.\n\nAble to obtain TS/SCI/SAP eligibility.\n\nWilling to submit to a CI polygraph.\n\n#AirforceSAPOpportunities\n\nWork Requirements\nYears of Experience\n\n0 + years of related experience\n\n* may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree\n\nCertification\n\nTravel Required\n\n10-25%\n\nCitizenship\n\nU.S. Citizenship Required\n\nSalary and Benefit Information\n\nThe likely hourly rate for this position is between $51,510.00 - $69,690.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
