This role will be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and customers to drive successful product execution.Position Responsibilities:Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to establish clear manufacturing and assembly requirementsSupport the development, planning, and execution of manufacturing processes and production systemsIdentify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement using lean manufacturing principles, including workflow optimization, facility layout, and labor efficiencyAssess production requirements and recommend appropriate equipment, tooling, and automation solutionsDevelop and present detailed technical analyses and cost justifications to support process and equipment-related decisionsServe as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring effective communication and successful execution of project objectivesCollaborate with cross-functional internal teams to support project schedules, milestones, and deliverablesContribute to manufacturing systems strategy, including PLC integration and connectivity to enterprise-level systemsUtilize ERP, MRP, and MES platforms to support and enhance production operationsLeverage real-time monitoring, process control systems, and data collection tools to improve manufacturing performanceSupport initiatives related to materials flow, quality systems, and overall production efficiencyPosition Requirements:A minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering, with an automotive background strongly preferredDemonstrated knowledge of manufacturing methods, product development processes, and production equipmentHands-on experience with automation, robotics, tooling, fixtures, and molding processes is highly desirableProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and AccessWillingness and ability to travel as required for customer engagements or facility visitsMust be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and eligible to obtain a Secret ClearanceAbout Spark Talent Acquisition:Spark Talent Acquisition is a Michigan-headquartered recruiting and staffing company that connects great talent with great employers.
