Box Maker Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for assembling, cutting, and preparing cardboard or wooden boxes for packaging and shipping.Key Job Responsibilities By machinery or by hand machinery measure, fold, and secure box materials according to specifications. Maintaining and cleaning box making equipment Ensuring the quality of the finished boxes. Removing jammed boxes as needed Inspecting finished boxes for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards Required management of box materials and supplies. Ability to troubleshoot basic issues. Adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines Additional duties as assigned. Position Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED preferred. Relevant Work Experience Prior warehouse experience a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements Lift and carry 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Reach above shoulder level and bend down to floor level. Ability to use hands and tools effectively to assemble boxes Stand for 8 – 10 hours per day. Able to tolerate hot/cold conditions in the Distribution Center.
