M&E QA/QC Support Engineer
Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a QA/QC Program Engineer V for a contract position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Bowling Green, OH. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role focuses on developing, monitoring, and improving quality assurance and control programs for data center construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring quality program metrics, analyzing trends, and working with applicable parties to correct any issues. This role requires strong cross-functional coordination, technical expertise across multiple disciplines, and hands-on experience with QA/QC processes, documentation, and tools.Responsibilities:Develop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate project performanceAnalyze metrics to understand the root cause of any disconcerting trends and then work with the applicable parties to correct those itemsAssist with the development of on-site partner construction QA and QC teamsAssist with the development of QA/QC processes and standards to enable efficiency and effectiveness and assist with cross-functional communicationsInterface between design, construction, and facility operations as well as general contractor(s)Provide training to personnel regarding awareness and quality procedures and specific responsibilities in the QA/QC processCoordinate quality issues between design, construction and facility operations teamsAudit QA/QC activities of staff and subcontractors to assess conformance with the QA/QC proceduresExamine all submittals (in particular, mechanical, engineering and plumbing (MEP) submittals) for quality assurance and provide comments to ensure all documents are compliantPerform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirementsDevelop, review and approve levels one through five related to product and process quality such as construction quality procedures (CQPs) and checklists, technical deliverables, and test procedures and plansRecommend and verify effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions for project non-conformance and quality issuesReview commissioning agent level four and five commissioning scripts and provide feedbackAssist construction manager in review of turnover documentation package for completeness and accuracyHelp drive closure to open issues in BIM360 and escalate any outstanding open itemsAttend factory witness tests (FWTs) as required for equipment and systemsProvide an onsite visual inspection and/or observation for construction quality control of equipment and systemsAssist in confirming that Level two and level three testing documentation is properly completed and retainedProvide assistance in reviewing installed labeling, signage and taggingAssist in development of project specific QA/QC dashboards, equipment tracking matrices, and semi-annual QA/QC presentationsAttend required construction meetingsRequirements:5+ years of experience in quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) programs for data centers or mission-critical construction projectsExperience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction programsExperience in civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplinesExperience leading QA/QC and Cx programsExperience in contractor, consultant and vendor managementExperience in mission-critical power and cooling infrastructure or other critical systemsStrong mechanical and electrical QA knowledgeQA/QC commissioning skillsExperience with CSLA disciplinesDesired skills:Self-driven, with the ability to have difficult conversations on any misalignments that may ariseFocus-driven with experience leading and coaching a teamPeople-focused with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional partnersPrior experience with construction quality toolsSome experience with vendor managementPay range: up to $124.47 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!Aptask Global Workforce (AGW)ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is a certified Minority and Veteran workforce solutions company.
