{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a794b81b5bf35b564c46ac5c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a794b81b5bf35b564c46ac5c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a794b81b5bf35b564c46ac5c","title":"Welding Project Engineer","description":"The ideal candidate will be a hands on Welding Engineer who excels at data management and has significant technical welding knowledge.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAnalyze and improve existing manufacturing, welding, and inspection processes to increase throughput, efficiency and product quality.\n\nLead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and 5S principles.\n\nDrive the implementation of standard work practices and visual management tools to reduce waste and increase consistency.\n\nPartner with Quality and Sales to evaluate and qualify new and existing vendors\n\nParticipate in internal CAPEX and process development projects to support operational goals.\n\nProvide technical guidance and act as a backup to other engineering roles as needed.\n\nMaintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all technical processes and updates.\n\nPreferred Experience/Education:\n\nBachelor’s Science in Engineering\n\n3+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing setting\n\nSix Sigma certification, TOC, or formal lean manufacturing training is a plus\n\nERP system (Syteline) proficiency and experience with job scheduling tools\n\nExperience managing CAPEX and internal process improvement initiatives.\n\nServe as Project Manager for assigned internal and external projects, from estimating to execution and close-out.\n\nCreate work orders within the ERP system with clear production and vendor instructions.\n\nBuild and manage detailed project schedules and budgets aligned with customer requirements.\n\nMonitor project performance and provide timely updates to management and customers.\n\nAct as the primary point of contact between ETW and project stakeholders\n\nCoordinate with external vendors and suppliers to meet project goals and timelines.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
