Our people come from a range of backgrounds, and we value the varied perspectives, experience, and expertise they bring to their work.\nIdeal candidates will exhibit a passion for design, show a willingness to work in a collaborative environment, and possess an advanced understanding of building materials, systems, details and construction techniques. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of talented and collaborative professionals on all aspects of project design and development under the direct supervision of a Senior Architect and/or Principal. You will also closely collaborate with the project team, including consultants, to prepare design studies, graphic representations, technical drawings, studies, and other materials related to architectural design.\nInterested candidate should have the following qualifications:\nAccredited professional degree in architecture\n5-15 years post-graduate, full-time working experience in an architectural firm\nLicensed Architect in the U.S.\nMulti-family residential project experience preferred\nCapable of performing all construction phase activities including review of shop drawings, responding to Contractor questions (RFI’s), conducting site visits and participating in BIM coordination meetings\nWorking knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, local zoning ordinances and building codes\nDisplay technical knowledge of building systems, material assemblies, and engineering concepts\nAbility to lead a project including consultants and internal staff\nProficient in Revit, Bluebeam, Newforma and Excel; familiarity with software programs such as Enscape, SketchUp, Rhino, Affinity and Adobe Creative Suite\nExcellent communication and presentation skills\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities Implement project design philosophy and work toward the successful execution of the project through design and construction phases\nLead team meetings and client presentations, working closely with multidisciplinary teams\nMentor and train junior staff in a constructive and thoughtful manner\nOrganize the work efforts of SCB’s project team on a day-to-day basis and function as the primary facilitator of communication between the in-house team and external consultants\nResearch and promote opportunities for new or innovative system applications; proactively look for and implement processes to improve work product and efficiency.\nCompensation Salary: $75,000 – $125,000 depending on experience\nWe support our teams with competitive, comprehensive benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, disability, paid holidays and time off, and 401K retirement matching.
