The role administers LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, internet, and cloud-networking services that support global business operations.\n\nThis position provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, monitors network health, resolves escalated incidents, delivers infrastructure improvements, and participates in scheduled after-hours support. The Network Administrator works closely with cybersecurity, systems administration, the IT service desk, business stakeholders, telecommunications carriers, vendors, and managed service providers.\n\nEssential Job Functions:\n\nNetwork Administration\n\nInstall, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, controllers, and related infrastructure.\nSupport LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and internet connectivity services.\nConfigure and troubleshoot VLANs, routing, switching, subnetting, access-control lists, network address translation, quality of service, and dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, where applicable.\nAdminister site-to-site and remote-access VPN connections and support cloud networks, subnets, security groups, gateways, and hybrid connectivity.\nMaintain resilient designs through appropriate use of redundancy, failover, high availability, and load balancing.\n\nNetwork Monitoring and Performance\n\nMonitor availability, utilization, latency, packet loss, bandwidth, and device performance using SNMP, syslog, NetFlow, packet capture, and centralized alerting.\nInvestigate service disruptions and performance degradation, establish performance baselines, and conduct root-cause analysis for recurring or high-impact incidents.\nPerform capacity planning and recommend upgrades based on utilization, growth, reliability, and business requirements.\nTrack network uptime, incident trends, service-level performance, and carrier reliability.\n\nWireless and Remote Connectivity\n\nDesign, configure, and support secure corporate, warehouse, production, and guest wireless networks.\nMonitor coverage, interference, channel utilization, roaming, and access-point performance; perform site assessments and recommend placement or configuration improvements.\nSupport reliable, secure connectivity for remote employees, branches, warehouses, international operations, and business-critical devices, including scanners, printers, phones, mobile devices, and operational technology where applicable.\n\nTelecommunications and Vendor Management\n\nCoordinate services with internet service providers, carriers, hardware vendors, consultants, and managed service providers.\nOpen, manage, and escalate carrier service tickets through resolution.\n\nService Delivery and Operational Support\n\nProvide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for escalated network incidents and service requests.\nRecord, prioritize, investigate, resolve, and document work in the IT service-management or ticketing system.\nFollow established incident, problem, change, request, asset, and configuration-management practices.\nDevelop implementation plans, test procedures, risk assessments, and rollback plans;
