This role focuses on research, development, and experimentation with distributed computing architectures, data pipelines, and scalable analytics systems designed to process and analyze multi-modal data sources.\r\nThe successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary engineering team designing and integrating cloud-native infrastructure, distributed processing systems, and advanced analytics workflows supporting complex mission and research environments.\r\nThis is an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology development involving distributed systems, data processing frameworks, and advanced analytics architectures.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nSystems Engineering & Architecture\r\nSupport the design and evolution of distributed data processing and analytics platforms\r\nAssist in developing system architectures for scalable data ingestion, processing, and analytics pipelines\r\nDefine and document system interfaces across heterogeneous data sources and processing components\r\nContribute to system requirements, architecture documentation, and technical design artifacts\r\nResearch and Development\r\nSupport experimentation with distributed computing architectures and large-scale data processing frameworks\r\nAssist with development of data pipelines capable of ingesting and processing multi-modal datasets\r\nParticipate in research activities exploring new approaches to data analytics, system scalability, and distributed processing\r\nContribute to prototype development and evaluation of emerging technical capabilities\r\nIntegration and Testing\r\nSupport integration of distributed system components across multiple compute environments\r\nParticipate in system testing, validation, and evaluation of new platform capabilities\r\nAssist in the development of experimental processing pipelines and analytical workflows\r\nSupport technical demonstrations and system evaluations\r\nPlatform Development Support\r\nWork with software engineers to integrate new platform capabilities and services\r\nAssist in developing interfaces to new data sources and processing modules\r\nSupport deployment and configuration of distributed system components\r\nContribute to performance tuning and system optimization activities\r\nDocumentation & Technical Communication\r\nDevelop and maintain system engineering documentation, including architecture diagrams and interface descriptions\r\nDocument experimental results, system evaluations, and technical findings\r\nSupport technical discussions and design reviews with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders\r\nDesired QualificationsCandidates with the following experience are strongly preferred:\r\nExperience with distributed systems architectures\r\nFamiliarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)\r\nExperience working with data pipelines or streaming data architectures\r\nExperience integrating analytics or machine learning workflows\r\nExperience with cloud-native infrastructure or DevOps environments\r\nFamiliarity with simulation environments or complex data processing systems\r\nExperience supporting research and development programs\r\nMMB Solutions is a technology-driven engineering firm focused on developing advanced distributed computing and analytics platforms.
