Job Title: Graphic Designer (Print Specialist)Location: Dubuque, IA Duration: 12+ Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension)Shift: 1st shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM OT may be requested by clientPay Range: $20/hr to $23/hrJob Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Graphic Designer (Print Specialist) to support visual workplace initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role combines graphic design, print production, and operational coordination to create and maintain effective visual systems that enhance workplace organization, safety, and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign print layouts for custom signage, shadow boards, labels, and visual displays using tools such as Adobe IllustratorProduce and print labels, decals, banners, and signage for facility-wide useManage incoming 5S requests and maintain tracking systemsSupport implementation of visual workplace standards aligned with 5S methodologyMaintain and update internal systems, including Microsoft SharePointCoordinate with skilled trades for preparation and installation of signage and boardsManage inventory of print supplies, raw materials, and consumablesOrder printing materials and maintain vendor relationshipsPerform routine maintenance and updates of existing factory signageCollaborate with process improvement and operations teams on visual solutionsPerform additional duties as assignedRequired QualificationsExperience using graphic design software, preferably Adobe IllustratorBasic knowledge of print production processes (labels, signage, large-format printing)Strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloadComfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environmentBasic computer proficiency (file management, tracking systems, etc.)Preferred QualificationsExperience with 5S or lean manufacturing principlesBackground in signage, print production, or industrial designFamiliarity with inventory management and supply orderingExperience working with cross-functional teams in a production environmentWork EnvironmentManufacturing facility settingRequires standing, walking, and handling materialsUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
