Come join our team at Emerson Discrete Automation. We have a great opportunity for a Material Handler who is eager to grow with our company. This role will work with the Stockroom Supervisor and will be responsible for various operations within the Warehouse, including picking, transfer of parts, transporting complete orders to assembly lines, participating in cycle counts and inventories, process outbound truck shipments and international orders, maintain assigned area rows and perform special assigned tasks such as bin recovery and phone/return to stock.\n\nUse/Operate AS400/Ultriva systems to determine part locations, quantities, descriptions, print labels for boxes and troubleshoot last activity, items received, issued and/or location transactions.\nCreate pick, pack and ship documents for WRO and International shipments.\nAnalyze pick sheets to determine the location of parts, required quantity, determine appropriate container, print and affix part number labels and place in designated location.\nPerform KANBAN and supermarket transfers/delivery and complete phone orders from the assembly lines. If parts are not needed, return materials back to the appropriate location.\nAssist in all activities of the cycle count.\nSafety is the primary responsibility of each employee. Obey all safety rules and make safety an integral part of each task. Stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition.\nGiven an assigned area in the stockroom, ensure that daily housekeeping is completed including a clean and organized work area, shelves and boxes dust free, box tops should be folded in/and or cut and sweeping the floor.\nAll parts placed in the appropriate location, with all containers facing in such a manner that the part number can easily be read. Ensure that each row is clearly marked with the row/shelf number.\nPerform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nAct with utmost integrity, professionalism and positive attitude.\nMust be a team player.\nMust be able to perform all work assignments with minimal supervision.\nMust be able to use pallet jacks, scales, and initiate the operation of AGV’s\nMust understand how to use FIFO and principle of using it\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\n\nTRAINING REQUIREMENTS:\nForklift Certified- 30 days\nPHYSICAL DEMAND:\nWhile performing duties you may be required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
