Central System Engineering (CSE) in Central Engineering, independent of other CE functions including DSP algorithm development, circuit design, physical design, packaging, etc., is a function team responsible of validating all Marvell HSS IPs in the lab environment and supporting all Marvell business units for fast and smooth SoC production.\nWhat You Can Expect\nIn this role you will be part of the Central IP applications team.\nParticipate in the design and implementation the PHY validation framework, which focues on automation, scalability, and modularity to support diverse hardware validation requirements.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, validation, and test engineering) to define validation goals, interface requirements, and automation strategies.\nDevelop test infrastructure and automation tools to enable efficient, reliable, and repeatable validation workflows.\nIntegrate hardware and software systems into the validation framework, including DUTs (Devices Under Test), measurement instruments, data acquisition systems, and test control platforms.\nEstablish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, automated testing, and validation result reporting.\nMonitor system performance and test coverage, identifying opportunities to optimize runtime efficiency and improve failure diagnostics.\nWrite clear documentation for framework architecture, test flows, usage guides, and onboarding materials for other engineers.\nSupport framework maintainability through version control, issue tracking, modular code practices, and periodic code reviews.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices in software engineering and validation methodology.\nStay current with industry trends in test automation, hardware-software co-validation, and emerging technologies to guide future enhancements.\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 8+ years of experience in software engineering, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in software engineering.\nProficiency knowledge in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#, or similar), with a strong understanding of software design principles and test-driven development.\nExperience designing and implementing automation frameworks or validation infrastructure.\nFamiliarity with PHY layer concepts (e.g., SERDES, USB, PCIe, Ethernet) and validation workflows.\nFamiliarity withversion control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD workflows, and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).\nHands-on experience working with test equipment (oscilloscopes, BERTs, logic analyzers, etc.) and integrating them via APIs (e.g., SCPI, VISA, gRPC).\nExcellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills in hardware-software interaction environments.\nEffective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with developing test automation systems in a hardware validation or lab automation environment.\nKnowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, MATLAB) and experience processing large sets of test data.\nFamiliarity with hardware bring-up, signal integrity, or post-silicon validation processes.\nContributions to establishing coding standards, automation best practices, or system design documentation.\nExpected Base Pay Range (USD)\n131,010 - 196,300, $ per annum\nThe successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
