Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker/Hiker to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who love animals and enjoy spending time outdoors. As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of dogs while providing them with exercise, companionship, and care during their walks. Your commitment to animal welfare and your ability to handle various breeds will be essential in creating a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners. MUST LOVE DOGS, able to work independently, in ALL weather conditions and own a reliable vehicle with a clean driver license. Willing to train the right person! Previous experience with references also a PLUS. Come meet the BEST dogs in the city! *Paid training to the right person* Duties Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization. Boarding dogs in-house or at clients Monitor the behavior and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to the pet owner. Maintain control of dogs at all times, ensuring their safety and the safety of others. Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain a clean environment. Provide basic training commands as needed to reinforce good behavior. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs. Assist with additional pet care tasks such as feeding or administering medication if required. Skills Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques and dog behavior. Experience in dog training is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple dogs of varying sizes and temperaments simultaneously. Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners professionally. Patience and compassion towards animals, ensuring their comfort and safety. Basic understanding of pet first aid is a plus. Previous experience in roles such as veterinary assistant, pet sitter, or animal care will be beneficial.
