Provide exceptional guidance, support and communication to engineering student design team. The Lead Validation Engineer will lead a team of Validation Engineers and be the main point of contact for the customer.\nActivities and duties\nThe following activities and duties are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive:\nValidate 3D models and assemblies according to project specific inputs and requirements.\nAccurately interpret provided 3D models, drawings, specifications and requirements.\nProvide exceptional guidance, support and communication to engineering student design team to ensure 3D models and assemblies are accurate and free of errors.\nAssist with improving engineering student design team’s ability to create accurate 3D models and assemblies.\nCommunicate with customers and team members regarding project scope, change requests and milestone completions\nTrack project progress against bid hours using sources available to ensure project initiatives are met\nMake decisions concerning personal time management and task prioritization to deliver quality service, on time and under budget\nRequired Experience\nMinimum three (3) years’ experience in the field of engineering utilizing CATIA is required\nMechanical Design/Drafting experience is required.\nEducation / Training\nMinimum of Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technologies, Computer Science or equivalent\nCAD software certification, a plus.\nKnowledge, Skills and Ability\nU.S. Citizenship is required\nAbility to mentor or teach engineering student design team\nCATIA V5, V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE is preferred\nGD&T experience is a plus\nExperience with Aerospace structures and component design is a plus\nAbility to check manufacturing drawings to determine proper fit and function, correctness and completeness of information\nAbility to multitask\nKnowledge of general Manufacturing processes is a plus\nMust have strong mechanical aptitude, good reasoning and problem solving skills\nKnowledge of Data Management and Configuration Management principles\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to work in a team environment\nSelf-starter with the ability to carry out responsibilities with minimum supervision\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements:\nWork is performed 100% onsite at customer location.\nWork is performed in a standard office environment and involves the ability to sit for extended periods of time.\nAbility to communicate on telephone and handle all calls in a professional and personable manner.\nVision must be good enough to read keyboards, computer screen, reference books, reports and other written documents\nAbility to drive own or rental vehicle\nITAR Requirements\nOur organization has a responsibility to comply with all applicable requirements set forth by International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”, 22 CFR 120-130).
