We are looking for part-time and per-project staff to provide construction observation services on a variety of projects, including public, municipal, and private work.\nPotential projects may include a variety of public infrastructure and utility construction, water and sewer systems, storm sewer improvements, street projects, as well as variety of private infrastructure work.\nGENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES\n· Perform on site observation and inspection.\n· Compile electronic daily reports outlining inspections and reporting deficiencies.\n· Read and understand specific project plans, blueprints, and specifications.\n· Communicate with the project team regarding project requirements and inspection results.\n· Can communicate effectively with contractors and hold them accountable to project specifications.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\n· Minimum 1-2 years of civil construction, observation, or engineering experience.\n· Must know how to thoroughly read construction blueprints and documents.\n· High School Diploma or equivalent.\n· Maintain a valid driver's license with a reliable means of transportation.\n· OSHA Safety Training Preferred.\n· SWPPP Certified preferred.\n· General computer knowledge (Excel, Word, PDF).\n· Able to stand on your feet to 8-10 hours a day or longer.\n· Physically able to navigate around a construction site consisting of uneven ground varying in ground material i.e., stone, gravel, dirt etc.\n· Physically able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses while working.\n· Willing to travel 1-2 hours.
