supplier capability assessments covering technical expertise, manufacturing readiness, scalability, quality systems, and financial stabilityManage supplier transitions, product transfers, and performanceSkills and Experience You'll Need as a Commodity Manager/Materials Program Manager:RequiredBachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, or related discipline6+ years of experience in commodity management, supplier development, strategic sourcing, program management, product development support, or related disciplinesExperience sourcing and qualifying suppliersStrong commercial negotiation and supplier relationship management skillsExperience in cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Product ManagementStrong analytical, financial, communication, and project management skillsPreferredExperience within optics, defense, industrial manufacturing, electronics, and OEM productsKnowledge of APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, supplier quality systems, and NPI processesExperience supporting products from concept development through production launchCPSM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certificationsMBA
