Potential projects include equipment foundations, environmental (liquid-retaining) containment, storage facilities, chimneys, and cooling towers.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nOversee structural engineering construction support services as the primary point of contact.\r\nReview engineering deliverables including drawings, specifications, and written reports.\r\nRespond to changed conditions in the field and lead design updates.\r\nDesign and analyze temporary structures using relevant industry standards.\r\nPrepare and review calculations and sketches using hand and software methods.\r\nCollaborate closely with construction teams to integrate structural repair solutions effectively.\r\nPerform site visits and inspections to assess structural conditions and oversee repairs.\r\nMentor junior engineers and technicians.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.\r\nLicensed Professional Engineer (PE).\r\n8+ years of relevant structural engineering and construction experience.\r\nEligible to obtain a TWIC and site access badges for industrial and power facilities.\r\nWillingness to travel for site visits – maximum 50% of time; typical trip lengths of 2–10 days.\r\nStrong technical writing and verbal communication skills.\r\nTechnical accuracy and attention to detail in design.\r\nA love for solving problems and understanding how things work.\r\nPreferred Skills & Certifications\r\nAdvanced degree in civil or structural engineering.\r\nLicensed Structural Engineer (SE).\r\nKnowledge of concrete degradation mechanisms.\r\nExperience with repairs to existing structures.\r\nFamiliar with relevant codes and standards such as ACI, ICRI, AISC, AWS.\r\nExperience with structural steel analysis, including bolted and welded connections.\r\nKnowledge of OSHA 1926.451 fall protection standards for scaffolding and rigging.\r\nExperience with Finite Element Analysis Software (ANSYS, SAP2000, Staad.Pro, or equivalent).\r\nExperience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM software.\r\nActive in professional organizations, such as ASCE, ACI, AMPP, SEI, ICRI.\r\nEnthusiasm for teamwork and continuous learning.\r\nReady to Build Something Amazing?\r\nSTRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES has a proud company culture that promotes 24/7 safety, quality, and collaborative teamwork.
