The pediatric therapy center is located in Burbank. Both roles can be part time or full time, depending on your preference. Both roles would require you to work in house and travel to patient homes. Patients are assigned based on their proximity to your home and mileage is reimbursed.\n\n*Duties*\n\n* Prepare engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with patients\n* As a member of a multidisciplinary team, provide early intervention services and Speech Therapy to infants, toddlers, and young children (0-5) and/or school aged children living with a delay in development or who are at risk for delay(s).\n* Plan and implement Speech Therapy to promote the family’s capacity to care for their child and promote growth and development in natural environments where families live, work and play and within our clinic setting. Bring expertise to the team in the area of communication, language development and speech.\n* Maintain contact with supervisor and work together to grow as a clinician\n* Keep track of supervision hours and paperwork to complete RPE based on agreement between supervisor and clinician.\n* Provide counseling and consultations for new patients\n* Create goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges\n* Prepare speech pathology equipment and exam room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed\n* Review the patient’s file prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the challenge to be addressed\n* Attend continuing education courses and work to advance personal knowledge and experience within the field\n* Submit billing and all original documents in a timely manner\n* Request and organize written authorization from patients involving specific follow up instructions and goals for improvement\n\n*Qualifications*\n\n* Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)\n* Accountability and attention to detail is essential when handling and documenting important medical information\n* Master’s degree in speech-language pathology\n* Speech Pathologist RPE license for CA\n* Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws\n* Experience working with sensitive and personal patient records and information\n* Physical endurance and the ability to work in various environments ie: client’s home, at the park, at a daycare or preschool, at the clinic\n* A friendly and professional demeanor is required when explaining procedures and processes to caregivers\n\nEmbark on a fulfilling career path where your skills make a real difference!
