Radiology Tech Location: Rockford, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,434 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/15/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiology Technologist Profession: Rad Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Evening/Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active IL license required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification Must-Have: Understanding of proper imaging techniques Description: As part of the multidisciplinary team, the radiology technologist performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. They are responsible for performing technical procedures that may require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative. They apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. The technologist performs patient intake by collecting medical history. They must be able to answer patient questions regarding the imaging procedure. They follow specific instructions from providers on what areas to image. They guide patients through the imaging process safely and comfortably. In addition, they operate imaging equipment proficiently. They have a firm understanding of anatomy and physiology of the human body. The technologist demonstrates knowledge of proper imaging techniques in special populations such as children, the elderly, and patients with debilitating conditions. They may confer with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborate to determine whether additional images are required. There is a weekend rotation required every third weekend. The technologist will work in various settings including outpatient, emergency department, and inpatient work. No on-call duties are required.
