Operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This position can perform more complex tasks and may rotate between areas with moderate supervision. They may also assist in problem solving material flow issues.\n\nShift hours are 7:00am-3:30pm\nResponsibilities:\nSupports production by pulling and delivering all materials necessary to complete shop orders\nSupports receiving by verifying conformance to invoices and stocking all received components on the appropriate shelf location\nVerifies and maintains product identification and count\nPrepares inventory records and investigates discrepancies in stock counts\nPerforms weigh counts for materials and stores them as necessary\nObtains, moves, sorts and packages products and materials\nCommunicates with supervisors, leads and assemblers to determine schedule of work for pulling materials\nCredits production and prepares goods for outbound shipment\nCoordinates and performs the loading of trailers\nPerforms finished good and component cycle counts\nGenerates move or scrap transactions as needed to ensure inventory accuracy\nOrganizes material shelves/staging areas as needed for optimum efficiency\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow and efficiency\nMay assist in training level I material handlers on proper process and equipment use\nQualifications/Skills:\nUnderstanding of basic math skills – adding, subtracting and measuring\nBasic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications\nAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format\nAbility to multi-task\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions\nAbility to use judgement related to identifying potential safety hazards\nAbility to communicate and interact with support personnel from outside departments to resolve material availability issues\nAbility to demonstrate flexibility\nPhysical Demands\nThis position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employees\nWork is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn\nEye and foot protection may have to be worn\nThe lifting of weights up to 30 pounds may occur regularly, with a potential for lifting weights of up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis\nThere is potential exposure to extreme temperatures\nThe occasional physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordination\nMay stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.\nEducation & Experience:\nMinimum one (1) year related experience\nProficient in 1 or more warehouse functions (receiving, shipping, material handling, production support, etc.)\nProficient in use of warehouse management systems and/or ERP systems to perform inventory movement transactions and material inventory validations/investigations\nWhat We Offer:\nComprehensive benefits include:\nMedical (with an HSA option), Dental, Vision and Rx coverage beginning the 1st day of the month following your start date\n401(k) Program with employer matching contributions.
