Vice President of Program Operations
What You'll DoAs Vice President of Program Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of MVLE’s programs and related operations. You will have strong oversight of contract performance, program quality and day-to-day operations. You will ensure that all programs and operational functions are executed effectively and consistently within contractual requirements and regulatory compliance. You will report to the Executive Director of the program.ResponsibilitiesProgram & Operations ManagementOversee daily program operations to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.Support and guide program managers to ensure effective service delivery and operational execution.Monitor program performance and implement improvements as needed.Contract Management & Compliance (Core Focus)Oversee all program-related contracts to ensure full compliance with scope, performance standards, and billing requirements.Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and timelines to ensure obligations are met consistently.Identify and address risks related to contract execution, including underperformance, funding limitations, or compliance gaps.Partner with finance and program staff to ensure accurate, timely invoicing and alignment with contract terms.Ensure adherence to all licensing, regulatory, and funder requirements (local, state, federal, and AbilityOne as applicable).Financial & Operational OversightWork with program team to monitor budgets, expenses, and operational performance.Support cost control and resource alignment while maintaining program quality.Ensure operational decisions reflect fiscal responsibility and sustainability.Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and support program managers and supervisors.Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and collaboration.Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of program staff.Systems, Data & ReportingEnsure effective use of systems (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com) for program tracking, reporting, and accountability.Maintain accurate, timely program data to support internal decision-making and external reporting.Provide regular operational updates and insights to the Executive Director.Facilities & Operational SupportProvide oversight of program-related facility operations to ensure safe, compliant environments.Coordinate with internal or external partners on facility and operational needs.QualificationsBachelor’s degree10+ years of experience in nonprofit program operations, contract management, or related leadership roles.Strong experience with compliance, contracts, and program oversight.Demonstrated ability to manage teams and drive execution.Solid financial and operational acumen.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Execution-focused and detail-orientedStrong accountability and follow-throughPractical, solutions-driven leadership styleAbility to balance compliance, quality, and efficiencyCompensation & BenefitsCompensation: $130,000 - $140,000/yrBenefits:Health insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision)Paid time off (Vacation, Sick, Floating)Retirement plan 403(b)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Commuter BenefitsLife/Accident insuranceShort-term Disability InsuranceLong-term Disability InsuranceEmployee Assistance Plan (EAP)Who We AreThe mission of MVLE is to create futures one person at a time for people with disabilities and other barriers through employment and support services.MVLE is about working with purpose to employ and support people living with disabilities.
