With operations across the U.S. and globally, we are committed to safety, innovation, and quality while building products our customers depend on every day.\n\nJob Summary:\nLoad, unload, and move materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.\n\nResponsibilities:\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as requested or assigned.\nRead work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Open containers.\nLoad and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.\nLoad materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.\nConvey materials from storage or work sites to designated area.\nCount, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.\nAttach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.\nStack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together as required.\nLift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and clean.\nWork area, machines, and equipment.\nOperate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh School level education.\nMust drive a forklift and hold an operator’s license.\nRead and write English.\nLift objects up to forty (40) pounds with help.\nHand-eye coordination.\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to communicate verbally.\n\nBASIC SKILL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be able to read, interpret, understand and have the ability to perform the various operations as listed on Floor Plans, Work Order Books, Quality and Engineering drawings/documents, Operating and Maintenance instructions, and parts and procedure manuals associated with each individual product unit.\nUtilizing the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment, must be able to Safely operate all power tools, hand tools and specialty tools required in the assembly process.\nMust have the ability to utilize Deductive Reasoning and Critical Thinking using logic and reasoning to identify potential problems, strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches for continuous product and cost improvement applications.\n\nDescription of Work Environment and Working Conditions:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to an indoor/outdoor plant non-climate-controlled area. The noise level is usually moderate. In the plant, eye protection is mandatory, hearing protection and dust mask may be required in identified areas.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects; tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
