In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for owning and evolving our design system, component library, and prototyping tools that underpin our product development efforts. You should have over five years of combined experience in product design and front-end engineering, demonstrating proficiency in both areas. Experience owning or significantly contributing to a production design system and component library, such as Storybook, is essential. Strong technical skills in React, TypeScript, modern CSS (including design tokens), and accessibility standards are required. Familiarity with AI-enabled design workflows and prototyping tools is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, a disciplined approach to design, and the ability to work independently to prioritize high-impact initiatives are critical. Experience within B2B SaaS or enterprise software environments will be considered a strong plus.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the end-to-end management of GrabJobs’ design system, including defining visual language, interaction patterns, accessibility guidelines, and maintaining consistency across the product. You will extend and refine the Storybook component library to ensure components are accurate, performant, accessible, and easy for product engineers to use. Building and maintaining prototyping tools—such as design tokens, AI-prompt scaffolds, design markdowns, and starter kits—will be central to enabling rapid idea validation. You will consult with product engineers on UX interactions that fall outside existing patterns, developing new components or guidance to enhance the system. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you will ensure alignment between the design system and implementation library, promoting reusable patterns over one-off interactions. Ensuring high-quality design output, reviewing prototypes for consistency, and flagging deviations from the system will be part of your responsibilities.
