No prior experience in quantum computing is required for this role.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, implement, test, and maintain core software components of our quantum control stack.\nCollaborate closely with hardware physicists, embedded systems engineers, and cloud-facing API developers to integrate software with both off-the-shelf and custom control hardware.\nOptimize data processing techniques to improve efficiency and performance.\nAdhere to and promote high standards in code quality, testing, and maintainability.\nThis position is primarily focused on software engineering and involves consistent collaboration with our internal hardware and electronics engineering teams.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\nMinimum of 2+ years of programming experience in a professional environment, through internships, co-op programs, or significant open source contributions.\nExcellent proficiency with Python.\nHands-on experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.\nProficiency with standard software development toolchains and paradigms, including version control systems and continuous integration tools.\nEnthusiasm for learning new technologies and applying them to solve complex problems.\nDemonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications (ideally proficient in one or more of the following):\nExperience writing control software for hardware (e.g., robotics, scientific instruments, IoT).\nExperience with scientific data analysis\nFamiliarity with modern C++ (C++11 and newer).\nExperience with asynchronous programming and threading models.\n\nQuEra is committed to cultivating a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
