We are committed to achieving excellence in Environmental, Health & Safety through our Mission Zero initiative.\n\nJob Summary\nThis role works as a key member of the Plant Quality and Process Engineering Team applying engineering techniques, data analysis and troubleshooting while assisting in the improvement of manufacturing processes and products.\n\nJob Duties\n\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, product management and production, to identify and mitigate process, quality and safety risks\n\nSupport manufacturing processes, preferably in an area of expertise in mixing, rubber extrusion, injection molding and assembly processes.\n\nRecommend manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective and to promote quality and reliability\n\nAssess current equipment and processes and make recommendations for changes\n\nAssist in the development of plant based PFMEAs and Control Plans and auditing process, with focus in areas of expertise\n\nAudit production processes, raw materials or suppliers/vendors to ensure that established quality standards are met\n\nConduct root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities or other quality failures. Ensures corrective and preventive actions are adequate and effective.\n\nMay train personnel in equipment usage and processes\n\nComplete all necessary documents fully and accurately including but not limited to Process Maps, FMEAs, Control Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Management of Change, etc.\n\nAdhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)\n\nFollow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nExperience and Education\n\nPerform work under minimal supervision\n\nBachelor's degree and/or Master’s Degree and > 5 years of experience (10+ years of experience without degree will be considered). Chemical or Mechanical or similar degrees preferred.\n\nExperience with rubber chemistry, rubber extrusion, or rubber molding preferred.\nExperience with AIAG core tools such as PFMEAs, Control Plans, SPC and MSA.\n\nExperience as a Certified Internal auditor in ISO or IATF management systems.\n\nSoftware skills: MS Office, Minitab or equivalent statistical analysis software, Document/QMS Control systems, LIM systems, SPC Systems\n\nAbility to identify and seek needed information/Research skills\n\nLeads inter-departmental teams to improve existing processes\n\nUses statistical tools to evaluate & summarize plant and process data\n\nOwns and manages processes maps, PFMEAs and Control Plans and other companywide quality documentation\n\nUnderstanding of ISO Management Systems and Requirements.\n\nAssists with mentoring of interns and plant floor technicians\n\nMust be able to interact and communicate with individuals at various levels of the organization\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks and demands.\n\nTechnical expertise\n\nAnalytical thinking skills\n\nProblem-solving skills\n\nEOE-Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran\nVarious agencies of the United States Government require employers to maintain information on applicants pertaining to factors such as race, sex, and type of position for which an individual applies.
