{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a6af4db96d129846b6bd9d94","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a6af4db96d129846b6bd9d94","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a6af4db96d129846b6bd9d94","title":"Train & Dev Spec","description":"Position Summary\nThe Training and Development Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation and facilitation of a formal training program for the organization, while utilizing and maintaining our learning management system (LMS.)\nResponsibilities\nPrimary Position Responsibilities\nAdministers the in-house, CoServ University, training program by analyzing needs and formulating programs and schedules based on knowledge of identified needs, changes to business systems, services, or procedures.\nConducts Smith System Driving training as part of the driver improvement plan.\nConducts CPR and First Aid training sessions.\nWorks closely with leadership to align training goals with overall company and departmental objectives.\nDevelops and delivers in-person and virtual training as needed and moderates sessions to ensure engagement.\nCoordinates securing outside training resources such as consultants, educational institution personnel, and business and industry representatives.\nCoordinates with legal in reviewing the required training contracts.\nResearches, writes and develops new and/or revised curriculum such as training handbooks, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.\nMaintains learning management system (LMS), including managing user accounts, uploading training materials, and monitoring training completion and compliance.\nResponsible for creating and executing learning strategies and programs while maintaining Employee training records and providing training reports as requested through the learning management system (LMS).\nWorks with various departments throughout the organization to ensure accurate documentation and tracking of training. Including: Safety, EDP/Operations, IT/InfoSec, etc.\nDevelops metrics to effectively monitor the impact of training programs.\nContinually collects and analyzes feedback from participants on the effectiveness of training programs.\nSupports the continuous improvement of training processes, suggesting enhancements, and identifying opportunities for streamlining and automation.\nResponsible for working with the Employee Communications Specialist and the Safety & Training Department to update the monthly safety topic training presentation, post on the LMS and assign to all Employees.\nStays updated on training best practices and industry trends, incorporating them into the coordination and delivery of training activities.\nResponsible for preparing and maintaining the training program budget.\nComplies with established CoServ safety and operating rules, procedures and guidelines including reporting unsafe practices to a supervisor.\nComplies with established CoServ Information Security Handbook, policies, procedures, and guidelines including reporting suspected information security incidents to Tech Support.\nSecondary Position Responsibilities\nCreates and submits training invoices quarterly or as necessary.\nPlans, organizes, and coordinates Employee morale events.\nAssists with internal communications, as needed.\nPerforms other duties and activities as directed.\nPosition Requirements\nEducation, Experience, and Certifications Required\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D equivalency.\nThree (3) years of leadership training experience or six (6) years of experience as a leader in an organization.\nWorking knowledge of a learning management system (LMS).\nEducation, Experience, and Certifications Preferred\nCollege degree in a business field.\nPHR or SHRM-CP\nFive (5) years of experience in adult learning facilitation.\nExperience in creating graphics.\nExperience with Adobe creative suite.\nWorking knowledge of Schoox and/or UKG Pro Learning.\nSkills and Abilities Required\nExcellent human relations and communications skills, both written and verbal.\nMust be comfortable in preparing and delivering presentations to all levels within the organization, including formal professional development and teaching assignments.\nAbility to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.\nDemonstrates competencies of leadership skills - planning, coordinating, directing, listening and communication.\nAbility to work under strict deadlines and has the capability to utilize problem- solving skills.\nAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.\nMust have strong grammar skills.\nMust understand the confidentiality required for this position.\nMust be detail oriented.\nMust possess personal computer skills and be proficient in Office 365 products including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to work independently, with minimal supervision.\nAbility to work as a team player.\nAbility to work flexible and extended hours as needed or directed.\nSkills and Abilities Preferred\nKnowledge of the cooperative business model.\nKnowledge of instructional design.\nPhysical Requirements\nOperates office equipment such as a computer, telephone, copier, etc.\nIndoor, office environment.\nAbility to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.\nAbility to drive occasionally as needed.\nAbility to sit for long periods of time.\nRequires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.\nOther Requirements\nTravels to conferences and other office sites.\nMust have and maintain a valid Texas driver's license.\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
