You'll work within a fast-paced, creative engineering environment, acting as an individual contributor within a multi-disciplined team to ensure our products are safe, robust, and reliable. This is an opportunity to directly impact the performance and success of cutting-edge aerospace and defense products.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n\nSafety and Reliability Analysis: Develop and analyze critical reports, including Reliability Analyses, Fault Trees, Common Cause Analyses, and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA).\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with design, components, and quality engineering teams to identify requirements, pinpoint non-conformances, and drive corrective actions.\nDesign & Compliance: Manage aircraft safety requirements throughout the product lifecycle using both top-down and bottom-up methodologies. Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance.\nRisk Assessment: Facilitate risk assessments, including safety and cybersecurity, for new products and problem reports, and generate comprehensive reports.\nTechnical Expertise: Utilize your expertise in industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD-882, DO-178, DO-254) and reliability testing methods (HALT, HASS, ESS) to guide development.\nContinuous Improvement: Support Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS) and contribute to field reliability tracking efforts.\nCustomer Communication: Maintain strong communication with customer counterparts and program managers throughout the development process.\nPerforms special projects/tasks as assigned.\n\nPreferred Education\n\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Aerospace Engineering discipline.\n\nPreferred Experience\n\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in Safety & Reliability Engineering.\nExperience with Safety & Reliability software such as PTC Windchill/Windchill Risk & Reliability.\nFamiliarity with derating and maintenance/packaging design analysis.\nSkills:\nExpertise in aerospace equipment certification processes.\nProficiency with fault tree analysis tools (e.g., CAFTA Fault Tree or Relex Fault Tree).\nWorking knowledge of communication protocols.\nWorking knowledge of electrical and mechanical models.\nWorking knowledge of relevant standards: MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-HDBK-472, DO-160.\nExperience with STPA or CAST.\nExperience with Systems Engineering and requirements capture software (e.g., DOORs)\nExperience with software-based systems and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab) is a plus.\nExperience with Jira, ADO, or other program management tools is a plus.\nExperience and knowledge of cyber security protocols like DO-326 is a plus.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nFrequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers.\nFrequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer.\nThe person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office\neThis position is onsite.\n\nEligibility Requirements:\n\n**Must be authorized to work in the U.S.**\n\n**This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization**\n\nSalary Range:\n\nThe typical hiring range for this role is:\n\n• Level III: $108,000-$162,000\n• Level IV: $124,000–$186,000\n\nFinal offers are based on job-related qualifications and pay equity\n\nKorry Electronics Competitive Benefits Package:\n\n401(k) matching\n12 paid holidays\nMinimum of three weeks paid time off plus one week paid sick time to start\nComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with generous company contribution\nFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)\nTuition reimbursement\nParental leave\nShort term and long term disability\nLife insurance\nAccidental death & dismemberment insurance\nLong-term care plan options\nPrescription safety shoe & glasses benefit\nVanpool subsidy\nRecognition awards\nEmployee referral bonuses\nEAP (Employee Assistance Program)\n\nKorry Electronics is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
