As part of its commitment to responsible development, Imerys promotes environmentally friendly products and processes in addition to supporting its customers in their decarbonization efforts.Imerys is listed on Euronext Paris (France) with the ticker symbol NK.PA.The PositionMaintenance ElectricianJob SummaryThe Maintenance Electrician’s objectives are to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and controls equipment in order to accomplish the preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks in the plant.Hourly pay rate: $35.25-36.07ResponsibilitiesOversee maintenance, testing, and installationInstall, maintain and test LV/MV electrical equipment to include: AC/DC Motors and Motor Controls (Across the line, Soft Start, VFD); switchgear, transformers, load break switch distribution equipment; fuses, power circuit breakers, load centers, and breaker panels; and wiring, terminations, and grounding systemsUse a range of electrical test instruments including Megger, DLRO, Tic Tracer, DVOM, Clamp Amps, 4-20Ma Signal Generators, Sensor Calibrators, etc.Oversee maintenance and testing of low/medium voltagePerform equipment inspections, maintenance tasks, and assigned project workTroubleshoot equipment, controls, and wiring to detect malfunctions, and discuss machine operations with production and maintenance personnel to diagnose problemsDismantle defective equipment, repair, and install parts to bring the equipment back into serviceRead electrical diagrams and manuals required to install and troubleshoot electrical and control equipmentSet up and operate shop and portable toolsInstall, test, and maintain motors and gearboxes, as well as perform laser coupling alignmentsSupport the effort to maximize equipment availability to Production DepartmentEnsure electrical safety guidelines and procedures for electrical work is compliant with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E and Company Safety RegulationsMetal-clad switchgear, air/vacuum breakers, transformers, panels, and wiringElectric motor maintenance and testing (windings, rotor, bearings, etc.)Ensure the electrical work conforms to the standards and guidelines established in the ISO 9002 quality assurance manualOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, And ExperienceJourneyman Electrician License or two year of experience in Electrical maintenanceMinimum two years of industrial electrical and controls maintenance experienceUse a range of electrical test instruments including Megger, Multimeter, Tic Tracer, Clamp Amp meter, 4-20Ma Signal Generators, etc.Experience with low/medium voltage distribution equipment Working knowledge of industrial NEC Codes and relevant Electrical Safety ProceduresIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google SuiteExperience with utilizing a work order system within a CMMSMechanical skills preferredExperience using mobile equipment (Forklift, Lull, Man lift, Scissor lift)Must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs, and ladders for extended periods of time, and lift up to 40 pounds in outdoor noisy environmentsDEGREE OF SUPERVISION OR DIRECTIONModerate supervision is expected.
