Participate in and contribute to all phases of systems development projects. Monitor and tune database and database application performance.\r\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities\r\nAssists with the design, implementation, and maintaining databases\r\nManage database performance and disk usage\r\nProvides support in database access methods\r\nProvides consultation support in database analysis, modeling, coding, and production problem resolution.\r\nDevelops maintenance, backup and recovery procedures and documentation\r\nParticipates in Disaster Recovery Drills\r\nProvides Primary On-Call Support for production problems\r\nUnderstands and supports corporate data standards\r\nRecommends and assists with new DBMS and operational standards.\r\nParticipates in testing and in evaluations of new software and software release upgrades\r\nSupports business studies, proposal teams and costing/feasibility studies\r\nPrepares system documentation\r\nMaintains metadata repositories\r\nOther duties as assigned\r\nSupervisory Responsibilities\r\nNone\r\nQualifications\r\nThe requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
