This role is responsible for maintaining database dictionaries, ensuring the integration of systems through effective database design, and administering and testing computer databases by applying a deep knowledge of database management systems. Additionally, the Database Administrator coordinates changes to computer databases and may plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign, implement, and maintain moderately complex databases.\nMaintain database dictionaries and ensure the integration of various systems through effective database design.\nAdminister and test computer databases, utilizing knowledge of database management systems.\nCoordinate changes to computer databases to ensure data integrity and system efficiency.\nPlan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect computer databases from unauthorized access or data breaches.\nAdminister and optimize PostgreSQL (v13+) including configuration, performance tuning, patching, and capacity planning.\nImplement and validate backup and recovery for PostgreSQL using pg_dump/pg_restore and WAL archiving.\nConfigure and monitor PostgreSQL replication and high availability (physical/logical replication).\nPerform query tuning and indexing for PostgreSQL using EXPLAIN/ANALYZE, partitioning, and pg_stat_statements.\nPlan and execute migrations to/from PostgreSQL, including cloud-managed services such as AWS RDS or Aurora PostgreSQL and from Oracle.\nEstablish monitoring and alerting for PostgreSQL using standard observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana or equivalent).\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nActive Top-Secret clearance with capability to obtain SCI/CI Poly if needed to meet contract requirements.\nBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology or related field or Equivalent Experience.\nStrong knowledge and 8+ years of experience in database management systems.\nAbility to design and maintain complex databases.\nExperience with database administration and testing.\nKnowledge of security measures and techniques to safeguard computer databases.\nExcellent coordination and communication skills to manage database changes and integration.\n\nAbout E-INFOSOL\n\nE-INFOSOL is a Service Disabled and Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
