The goal of this position is to create links between students, employers, and curriculum teams to ensure the successful delivery of work based learning opportunities through work experience and work-based learning programs.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan.Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.Recruit and coordinate employer connections to meet requests for work based learning experiencesDevelop relationships and key contacts to drive employer recruitment for volunteerism for WBL within and for RPS 205Oversee the implementation of a work based learning electronic platform tool and serve as resource contact for users of the tool/platformSupport the maintenance of the work based learning electronic platformCollaboratively develop roles & responsibilities and provide onboarding for stakeholders prior to participation in work based learning activitiesWork to implement visibility of Academies through networking and marketing within the regionWork with employer site leadership teams to plan, develop, and implement work-based learning activitiesSchedule, convene and facilitate meetings and committees required to develop plans for work based learning, ensuring maximum involvement of stakeholdersEnsure all experiences meet employer, State and Federal laws and mandates where applicableServe as a resource for school Advisory Boards (district ASTs or Academy Support Teams)QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in work related field. A combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.3 years of experience in a work-related field. Sales experience is preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to demonstrate qualities aligned to our core values of Character, Communication, Collaboration and Continuous Improvement.Ability to manage projects effectively from concept development through program implementationAbility to work independently, prioritize workload, anticipate and meet deadlines, and respond to changing prioritiesAbility to conduct research, draw sound conclusions, and report findingsProven ability to work as a team playerAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a diverse constituency including the ability to draft reports and correspondenceDemonstrated working knowledge of the targeted job markets, area employers, community agencies, etc.Strong analytical skills to interpret job market dataStrong organizational skillsKnowledge of and ability to use a variety of PC-based software including advanced features of word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, database, and Google DriveAbility and comfort making oral presentationsAbility to provide support to diverse constituents including students, college faculty and staff, employer partners, and external organizationsKnowledge of secondary career and technical education and post-secondary education a plusExperience coordinating work based learning experiences preferredExperience managing programs and with workforce development activitiesExperience coordinating and communicating with multiple organizations to ensure project participation and completionWORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel.
