FMC is searching for talented, self-motivated professionals to work in a free-thinking culture creating the next gen premium entry EVs with the highest autonomous technologies at our Santa Clara, CA facility.\n\nJob Description\n\nWe’re looking for an innovative Development Hardware Engineer to join our growing team:\nA. Responsibilities (essential to the position)\nDesign and construct testing setups in collaboration with the UI/UX team for rapid prototyping.\nDefine and oversee tool specifications. Interface with internal team and external suppliers to maintain and improve equipment performance of the hardware in the test laboratory, including:\nMachine troubleshooting\nGenerating and maintaining documentation (operating procedures, maintenance schedules/instruction, etc.)\nEstablishing and overseeing machine preventive maintenance schedule\nMaintaining BOM’s and ensuring proper spare parts availability\nDesign and improve infotainment software test rigs.\nActively using data sources to quantitatively evaluate and track tool performance and create programs to improve relevant metrics.\n\nQualifications\n\nB. Requirements:\n1. Industry background:\nBackground in mechanical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, controls, or other automation field\nProficiency with SolidWork or other 3D modeling software\nExperience with simulation of vehicle operation conditions\nProgramming experience in any language\nStrong record of innovation demonstrated through patents, papers or products\nProven ability to articulate and advocate a vision for technology direction with customers and internal development teams\n2. Knowledge and skills:\nExperience developing product in UNIX environment\nPassionate about technology and enjoy hacking/prototyping on the side\nExperience with software project management, familiar with agile methodology\nDesired experience: Developing embedded systems and/or Automotive\n3.
