Today, CHSI has expanded its services and provides mental & physical healthcare to all individuals in our communities. Our services are provided on a more affordable sliding fee scale to those who are underinsured or uninsured. We also accept ND and MN Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance plans. We currently operate four nurse-managed clinics, and two victim advocacy program centers.WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We are searching for a Per diem Mobile Health Dental Hygienist to join our Rochester, MN team. This is a per diem position with a flexible schedule based on mobile health operations and community need. Work is performed exclusively in mobile unit and community-based settings. Hours may include daytime mobile clinic coverage, outreach activities, and occasional evening, after-hours, and weekend events as needed.DutiesParticipates in mobile health missions and community-based outreach activities on an as-needed basis to support the communities served by Community Health Service Inc..Provides high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service while delivering dental hygiene services in mobile and community-based settings. Take radiographs of patients using standard dental radiographic equipmentSupports efficient patient flow during mobile clinic operations while remaining flexible to accommodate community outreach schedules and patient needs.Educate patients on oral hygiene, health, disease as well as procedures and services; establish/communicate continued care.Applying preventive materials to the teeth such as fluorides and sealantsVerify patient health history and document appropriately in patient's chart.Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance Perform the following duties as applicable by practice and/or state laws:Screen for Oral CancerTake and record patients' blood pressure accuratelyTake alginate impressions and fabricate whitening traysMaintain accurate and legible notes in patients' chartsAssist with other office duties as requested or neededARE YOU A GOOD FIT?In addition to being a wonderful team member, we are seeking an individual with the below qualifications:Physical AbilitiesIn an eight hour workday, the employee must be able to: bend and crouch occasionally, sit continuously and stand or walk frequently.Employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.Employee must be able to use hands/arms, feet/legs for repetitive fine to large motor skill movementsQualificationsValid Dental Hygienist License and Minimum of an associate degree in Dental HygieneKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesMaintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training as required by lawExcellent verbal and written communication skillsVersed in Eagle Soft is highly preferredStrong multi-tasking and organizational skillsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of all company policies and rulesREADY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?If this role is a great fit for your skills & personality, please complete our quick online application on the right side of the page.Please NoteCHSI is an EEO/Affirmative Action/Veteran friendly employer.
