The permitting system affectsnearly allaspects of the Department’s core work. New business processes need to be developed and implemented. These positions will work on testing andvalidatingthe new business processes to ensure customer service is not interrupted.\n\nExample: In Inspection Services(IS)there is an entirely new inspection scheduling process that requires working in two systems. This takessignificant timeand effort and requires coordination with Inspectors.\n\nPermitServices (PS)specific duties as they relate to the project: Processing permit applications, issuing permits, and help support Project Coordinator unique to OpenGov permittingsystem.\n\nISspecific duties as they relate to the project: Scheduling inspection and processing mechanical/boiler permits, special inspections, complaints, notices of violations, and certificates of occupancy.\n\nThese minimum qualificationsestablishthe education, training, experience,special skillsand/or license(s) which arerequiredfor employment in the classification.
