A sign‑on bonus may be considered for the successful candidate.\n\nYou will have the opportunity to:\n\nDevelop basic to highly complex designs for electrical master plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, sustainability and renewable energy systems, and similar electrical systems.\n\nPerform power system studies and electrical calculations, including lighting simulations and layouts, communications, fire alarm, security, and related facility system analyses.\n\nConduct site reviews and technical studies to confirm existing conditions and ensure designs align with site‑specific requirements. Revise design criteria and requirements based on findings.\n\nContribute to the firm’s Technical Knowledge Management (TKM) program by developing white papers, technical design documentation and case studies related to new, specialized, or complex designs and studies.\n\nPrepare and submit technical papers and designs for publication in industry journals.\n\nCollaborate with sales staff to develop proposals in response to requests from current and prospective clients. Review draft proposals for alignment with firm standards, industry best practices, and applicable federal, state and local requirements.\n\nMeet with current and prospective clients to understand their present and future design needs and help develop appropriate technical solutions.\n\nAttend conferences, symposia, and other industry events to strengthen technical expertise and increase the visibility of the firm’s services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.\n\nProvide technical guidance, training and mentorship to junior staff to support their professional growth within the discipline and firm.\n\nReview and, as assigned, supervise the project work of junior engineers.\n\nPerform other duties as required.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related discipline.\n\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license.\n\n7 years of relevant experience.\n\nEquivalent directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n\nDomestic and/or international travel may be required depending on project needs, workload, and business demands.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with electrical power systems for water, wastewater, industrial, federal and transit facilities.\n\nFamiliarity with industry and federal codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE and UFC.\n\nProficiency in power system planning.\n\nExperience with distributed generation, alternative energy and microgrid systems.\n\nExperience designing, troubleshooting and problem‑solving for medium‑voltage distribution systems, including substations, switchgear and standby generation systems.\n\nProficiency with SKM Power*Tools and ETAP.\n\nExperience with additional electrical system analysis software such as EasyPower, EDSA/Paladin, CYME or Milsoft.\n\nPublished work in IEEE Journals, IEEE Transactions or other technical journals is a plus.\n\nSkills & Abilities\n\nStrong knowledge of electrical engineering design principles.\n\nAdvanced knowledge of CADD, 3D and 4D design software and practices.\n\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nStrong knowledge of applicable federal, state and local regulations.\n\nAbility to lead technical work, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.\n\nAmount of Travel Required\n10% or less\n\nEEO Statement\nWe attract the best people in the industry, supporting their efforts to learn and grow.
